  1. yeah, you're right. Does anyone know how to file a complaint to GUZ? Thanks. Saying retired may be okay but don't say that they died or your post will be deleted!
  2. Thanks a lot! but it seems that GUZ hasn't answer any questions since 02/08. Click here! http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?showforum=25
  3. Hello everyone, haven't been here for a while. Does GUZ still answer questions? I don't see their forum here. Thanks.
  4. Alex, registering with GZ is a good idea but writing a letter may trigger back fire. Coz most goverment agencies don't like people write letters to them.
  5. That is correct keyman except in situations of abuse which the poster of this thread said was happening. In these cases the beneficiary can adjust status on their own without still being married to the petitioner. Once her status is adjusted she can marry whom ever she pleases without retribution. 160258[/snapback] you are right, Carl. however, she then has to provide tons of evidence to prove that she's been abused to immigration officer and you know what, nowadays it is more difficult for the ins officer to believe her story. i have seen from other posts that Sos came here and ran away to tell ins officers that they were abused. I actually saw one lady was denied by the ins officer for lacking evidence.
  6. Well, k1 is only good for her to stay in the U.S. and marry her petitioner. If it does not work out, even if another person wants to marry her here, she would have to go back to her original place for her new bf (new petitioner) to apply the k1 for her again. you can the the uscis website for more details.
  7. well, you can delay like a month or two but I strongly suggest not to because you will need to wait for another long period of time before the great GUZ rescheduled your appointment again.
  8. I dont think you can file petition for cousin, niece or nephew unless you are a usc and their parents
  9. based on previous experience, priority date is not an important factor here. the important one is when they received your case. so, based on your time line, they should be able to schedule you an interview within 4 to five month (maybe 09/05 or 10/05)
  10. Well, usually when p3 entered into GZ the wait is about 4 to 5 months. My so waited for 5 months when GZ received p3.
  11. One famous question that the VO always ask, "why don't you just get marry in China"? Does anyone think about that?
  12. It is true! immigrant (k3 or cr1) does take much longer than k1 visa. compare this; k1=9 months, immigrant visa=18 months!!! See the difference?
  13. the vaccine center told her that after the visa is issued then she'll need to go back to the center to get the health certificate.
