I received this response in two days of sending the e-mail to them. I asked them if the name check was completed and I assume that is what the documentation sentence means. The timeline they are giving me seems about the same as the the timeline here. I estimate the interview would be in mid to late July. At least it sounds like they are trying to speed up the processing of K cases. Dear Mr. Sheehan, Thank you for your email. Ms. Gao,'s record indicates she was documentarily qualified on March 3,2005. We are currently already processing more K cases at the expense of other categories, but the backlog is still several months. Therefore, Ms. Gao's interview will be about four months from now. I always send money to Liwen throught Western Union. At least in Wuhan, the only place she can get money is at China Post. Every time she has gone to the Agricultural Bank they say they can not do it and send her over to China Post. I do not know if people have had luck with the Agricultural Bank of China in other places. And she does not have an account at either bank.

I would like to e-mail the consulate in Guangzhou to ask a question about the name check. I went to the embassy site, but they have several different e-mail addresses. Is there one that specializes in the K-1 visa application process?

I found I made a mistake on my taxes and I was really head of household and not single status. So I went back three years and sent in an amended form for each year. Worked with no problems

I use nobelcom.com when I call liwen in China and have bought her a card so that she can call me. It is much cheaper for me to call her but sometimes the need arises for her to call me -- like when she can not get a computer connection or there is a power outage and she will not be online. In the past the nobelcom worlwide card has worked fine for her but now she is unable to connect with it. I have been working with the company to try and solve this problem but am wondering if others have used any other cards with success. What I am interested in is the China to USA type of card. Thanks for any help. I love reading the posts here as they are so helpful to me and also good support to know we are all in the same waiting boat.

Hi, My name is Marty and this is my first post, though I have been reading posts at the very helpful site for awhile. I have read all the info here that I can on the P3 but still am a little confused. When my fiancee gets the packet, it seems there are several enclosures. Does she need to have them all ready to send or does she just send the OF-230 back immediately? Or does she need to have all of the forms ready before she sends it back. Second question: When I called Immigration, they told me the petition had been sent to Guanzhou on Dec. 2nd. How long do I wait before I start enquiring if it has cleared customs? Where do I inquire? Is sending an e-mail the best way to go -- its seems from what I have read, the embassy does not seem to responsive to e-mails. Thanks for any help
