  1. My wife traveled back to China, and she stayed for a while longer because her mother is sick. The mother is scheduled to return to the hospital for surgery. My wife has a green card, a Michigan ID card, and a USA Social Security Number. I assumed that my wife has all the required IDs and documents to travel back to Detroit, USA. My wife wanted to know if she will need any additional documents to travel back to Detroit, USA. My immigration attorney said that my wife should bring her mother’s medical records. My wife will also be flying into the Detroit Metro Airport (DTW). I live in Brownstown, Michigan. I assume that member Dparks777 may live near Detroit since his spouse flew to the DTW airport. Fred
  2. I am not clear on the type of visa., but my wife has the green card, a social security number, and a temporary state ID card. The permanent state ID card was mailed recently. I hope that my wife can easily return to the USA. I was married in China a few years ago. Fred
  3. I am back in the USA now. My new wife is still in China. Can I take the China Marriage Certificate (China marriage red booklet) to a notary office in the USA? I can get free notary services at my bank or credit union for USA documents. Fred
  4. Hello, I have a question. Recently I got legally/officially married in China. I got the China marriage registration/certification (China marriage red booklet). Do I need to get the China marriage red booklet notarized or authenticated for my Chinese wife to immigrate to the USA? Currently, my Chinese wife lives in Nanchang, Jiangxi, China. Fred
  5. I plan to marry in China. I have my Passport, Michigan Birth record, and Michigan No Marriage document. I will need these documents to marry in China. I think that I still need to send the documents to the China Consulate in Chicago. The China Consulate can do the authentication of the documents. I think that the documents will need to be translated from English to Chinese. Do you know when or where I can get the translations? Fred
  6. Abraham Lincoln is tops with me. I am an african american (black).
