  1. I'm confused by the fee for the I-90. My wife turn 39 in 2023. So how much does she needs to pay? It said the fees for I-90 below: Form Number Title USCIS Fee Biometrics Fee I-90 Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card $455 $85 If filing to renew your card within 30 days of turning 14 years of age and the existing card will expire BEFORE your 16th birthday. $455 $85 If filing to renew your card within 30 days of turning 14 years of age and the existing card will expire AFTER your 16th birthday. No Fee $85 If filing because your previous card was issued but never received. No Fee No Fee If filing because the card was issued with incorrect information because of a DHS error. No Fee No Fee
  2. my wife 10 years green card will expire in Feb. 2023. What is the earliest that we can start to file for renewal? what is the name of the application? also what is the current fee? thanks in advance.
  3. My wife send in her application back in 12/1/20 and received a letter to do her biometric sometimes in early march 2020 in nyc before the covid 19 pandemic. usually i heard you can get the interview for your test in about 6 months. Now it is July. Does anyone know when are they opening up the office in nyc for the citizenship test? When can we expect a letter for her interview? Does anyone know anything about the US citizenship test due the the Covid 19 pandemic?
  4. Correct - they have said in the past that they recommend you send it to the courier address for signed on delivery. I'm fairly sure that's still the case. Seems like it's best to just request delivery confirmation delivery confirmation doesn't require a signature, correct? so i can use deilvery confirmation to the address below? USCISPO Box 660867Dallas, TX 75266
  5. We are in NYC and it said for New York use the following: For U.S. Postal Service (USPS): USCIS P.O. Box 660060 Dallas, TX 75266 For FedEx, UPS, and DHL deliveries: USCIS Attn: N-400 2501 S State Hwy 121 Business Suite 400 Lewisville, TX 75067 so if we were to use the post office and mail it to the PO box in Dallas, we can't use signed on delivery since it is a PO box?
  6. When you mail in the citizenship paper work, can you send it as certified mail or regular mail? Do they accept certified mail or some proof of delivery? Or they won’t since it is a PO Box and no one is there to sign it?
  7. Does anyone know when these new fees will take affect? My wife is about file us citizenship test and we are waiting for our irs transcript to be send to us. The current fee is $725, so we don't want to pay the $1,170 if it is not necessary.
  8. My father in law who is 75 years old and a US citizen petition 1-130 for his adult son who is married with 2 kids and his wife this month. The priority/receive date on the letter is 12/10/18. The preference classification on the letter said "201 A3 INA ADULT CHILD OF USC." 2 questions: 1. Can someone give a rough estimate how long is the waiting process now, from beginning to end? Is it minimum at least 6 years, or 10 years wait, or more etc.? 2. What does the preference 201 A3 INA ADULT CHILD OF USC means? Is this preference on top of the list, middle or bottom priority? Thanks in advance
  9. if one want to bring the mom to live in the usa permanently what kind of visa would the wife petition and how long the process will take from beginning to end in generally? years and years of waiting? she has a 10 years green card. how long will it take from beginning to end to bring her mom to live with her in the usa? if wife become usa citizen, i heard the process speed up, but how much quicker?
  10. if your wife become citizen and she has parents or sibling still in china...and if she wants her parents/sibling to live with her....isn't it easier than if she was a green card holder? can someone with this experience chime in and let us know the process and the timeframe if their wife become citizen and want to bring her parent or sibling to the usa to live with them. from the process from beginning to end, how long on average did it took for you?
  11. what's good of the 10 yrs visa then if you need to leave the country every 60 or 90 days?
  12. yes as long the chinese carrier that you used has a gsm network, it should work.
  13. if i pass away, and she still not us citizen, would she get my social security benefit?
  14. my wife just got her 2 years green card today. after 2 years is up, what application do we need to file to renew her green card? and how much would it cost? what kind of evidences would they need to renew for a 10 years green card? i know bills with both our names are good. but i dont have too many bills to pay except for my credit card and mortgage. would that hurt her chances of 10 years card renew? if we don't have any bills under our name, what are some other good evidences to submit? thx in advance.
  15. what is poe? what is in the envelope and what happen if you open it? he means the case envelope, of course, NOT the package with the passport and visa. It contains your entire immigrations folder to be passed back to the USCIS at the Port of Entry. If the envelope were opened, you would theoretically have to go back to the Consulate to have it re-sealed. POE means Port of Entry - this is Immigrations and Customs where your entry into the U.S. from abroad is processed. Congratulations! http://i28.tinypic.com/2mruqv6.jpg Congratulations !!http://i1.tinypic.com/3ygwmdz.gif so when someone pass, they will send a package that contains the passport and visa and also a seal envelope which contains all the immigration papers?
