  1. I've sent an email to Mr. Roth and told him that there seems to be a problem with his site accepting comments. Hopefully, he can figure this out and fix the problem. Thanks to everyone who has tried, and please keep trying if you have not been able to get your comments added. Splinterman
  2. Cool beans! Add your comments to his blog and support what he is trying to do for everybody. John is emailing his client list and asking them to comment on their experiences on his blog Splinterman
  3. Thank you to all who have posted comments, and also to those who have tried but had some problems. Please keep trying, this is very important. I will try to let Mr. Roth know that some folks are having a difficult time getting their comments accepted and posted. Splinterman
  4. Guys and Gals, For the life of me I can't understand why there have been no comments posted on the Memo blog, nor has there been much activity on this posting! All of you out there who have complained in the past about the injustices coming out of GUZ, where are you now? Splinterman I tried. It doesn't work. Are you saying that you tried to leave a comment and the 'system' isn't accepting the comments? If anyone is having trouble posting comments please let me know and I can advise Mr. Roth that something is wrong. I do know that any comments submitted must be approved before they appear on the site. Splinterman

  6. Hey Folks, I got word that the Comment section on Mr. Roth's blog for his Memorandum had been broken, but now it has been fixed. We can now leave our comments. He is in the process of working with the American Immigration Lawyer's Association, which he had copied his Memo to, to show a broad general support for the Memorandum. It would be great to have this group of professionals behind the Memorandum! I know that many people here on CFL have said that they've written letters in support of the Memorandum to their congresspersons and others from Defendo's list. For anyone who hasn't put anything in writing and even for those who have, take a few moments and write your impressions on the Memorandum and post them in the Comments section. This is a great chance for those folks who sent their information to Mr. Roth but didn't get their case history included in the Memo to still become part of this effort to make changes for the common good. Please visit his site and add your 2 cents. Thanks All, Splinterman
  7. Yes, there might be something to that. I was just curious about what was being asked of the Lao Po, and also some information regarding the Hong Kong marriage, for 'consular-shopping' sake. Plus, it's been posted that at the interview both people can attend. I was wondering if they conducted part of the interview in Brokenheart's absence.
  8. Brokenheart, can you shed a little more light and some more detail about what all they grilled your wife on and what their questions were for the time they spent 'interrogating' her? And, was the interview begun without you being present or did they wait to start until after they came and got you? How did you get to the interview stage in HK with 'no record' of your I-130 being available? And now you can go back to GUZ on the same I-130/K-3 petition? When you both were married in Hong Kong, how long did you both stay there after the marriage? Did you leave HK right away or did you spend any time 'honeymooning'? I completely do not understand their position about not having ties to Hong Kong-I was married in Vegas once and I had no ties to Vegas at all. No family there, no friends. So what? I didn't know you had to have a 'tie' to any place in particular in order to have a reason to get married there... Splinterman
  9. Thanks for the information and most of all, congratulations and best wishes for a happy and prosperous future!!
  10. Brokenheart, I am very sad to hear what happened in Hong Kong. I was surprised to read that you were not allowed to attend with your wife-at least from the beginning, because that was what we had been told was allowed there. I had heard a rumour that there was at least one male consulate officer in HK that did not like people interviewing there instead of in in GUZ but the HK interviews were touted as being maybe more in depth, but also more fairly conducted. What specific reasons for refusal did they write on your denial slip? Was it the old 'not a bona fide relationship'? Well, obviously we will have to talk to our SO's about answering the question of why we interviewed in HK... I'm really sorry to hear of your experience. I had thought it would be more of a positive experience than it was. Splinterman
  11. What an arrogant, condescending and most of all, LYING prick...no doubt a political appointee... Splinterman, My feelings exactly and I could not have said it any better! I am sending out another packet tomorrow to the DOS IG that contains Mr Roth's memo and the articles written by Marc Ellis. He has described my situation with acute accuracy when he states, "DOS will remain free to return hundreds or perhaps thousands of petitions where the officers' conclusions are conclusory, speculative, equivocal, or irrelevant to the bona fides of the petitioned relationships. It can continue to be unaccountable to US Citizen Petitioners. And in those cases, US Citizen Petitioners will have to put their futures on ice in a massive bureaucratic deep freeze". Jay You know Jay, Mr. Roth had commented to me in one of his emails that he suspected that Jacobsen was the real villain behind the Ka-Ka that GUZ has been handing out with skyscraper-sized ladles, but I wasn't quite convinced that it was only him until AFTER I watched that video. What I got out of that video was watching a true, self-absorbed, arrogant bureaucrat strain BULLSHIT through his teeth like a piece of cheesecloth. The worst part about it was the haughtiness and his dare-you-to challenge-me attitude, like he considered himself God. I'd love to see Roth's letter and all of our 'contributions' reduce him to begging for quarters from the Chinese tourists who visit Baltimore's Inner Harbor....
  12. CONGRATULATIONS to you folks-it's really great to hear wonderful news like this! All The Best, Splinterman
  13. What an arrogant, condescending and most of all, LYING prick...no doubt a political appointee...
  14. Mr. Roth says he believes that a letter writing campaign is NOT as effective as us doing this individually. He'd like to make the DOS dodge a hailstorm of bullets coming from all sides. With the good work provided us by Jay (Defendo) on assembling the names and addresses of some 'targets' let's do our homework and get behind the effort. Splinterman
  15. Tsap, it does my heart good to hear from ya and that you're alive and well, and now a Lao Gong!!! Congratulations to you, my Friend!!! Sure, we'll take all submissions and would love to have you join us in this effort to make some changes 'round here! It just may help for when you take another shot in 2010. Let's lay the groundwork now! Welcome Back! Splinterman
  16. Excellent work, Jay! Thanks for collecting the addresses and names and posting them here! Now, it is all up to us individually to collectively send a message to these government representatives that we've been treated poorly long enough by Guangzhou, and those who have turned their heads and allowed it to happen!!! For those about to Rock.... Splinterman
  17. HKG, I'm not sure that Mr. Roth is a litigation attorney but maybe he will weigh in on this as he is probably reviewing some postings. If he tells me anything I'll let everyone know. Splinterman
  18. I think this is a great idea. In several recent posts some names and at least one address-thanks to Defendo-have been mentioned as possible recipients for our letters. What I'd like to ask is that those who have already written letters to specific persons/organizations, how about posting those addresses and names you have sent your personal letters to along in accompanyment of Mr. Roth's letter. This way we have a resource that we can all get behind and direct our letters to the same individuals at the same addresses. That would be a great first step in organizing. If we collectively decide on a date which to mail our letters out, that's great also. One Xeroxed personal cover letter along with a copy of Mr. Roth's letter, a trip to the local Staples store to make copies and addressing envelopes and applying postage is all it takes. Can I get an Amen? Splinterman This is an except from a recent email I received from Mr. Roth, about what results he expects his letter to bring about: The reaction isn¡¯t going to come from Guangzhou Consulate itself, I can guarantee you that. From the past experiences I¡¯ve had with this type of complaint (I¡¯ve done three such two mega-complaints like this before), the reaction will either come from Jacobs¡¯ office, or from the Ambassador (trying to get out ahead of the problem). I really think that, at a minimum, the government will do something about the obscenely long delays in getting revocation request cases reviewed. They can do so without particularly losing face. This alone will put pressure on Guangzhou to shape up. Right now no one hangs around long enough to find out why the case was sent back in the first place. If GUZ knows that a reckoning is coming in a few months, they¡¯ll be more reluctant to make arbitrary decisions. I think State will probably do more, too. They¡¯ll probably move some people out of the post (like Jacobsen, for example, who I suspect is the main villain), perhaps not immediately, to give him (and themselves) some cover, but in any event he¡¯ll be undermined, and we should start seeing some changes in processing soon. I think that as soon as we can get our members to list the names and addresses of those folks who they have, or would like to have letters sent to regarding Mr. Roth's complaint, then we should start the process. Waiting until June 6 is too long, although the idea of a second D-Day is a good one! Let's not lose the momentum. Those who have addresses and names give them up so everyone can cc those folks. 'Let the games begin' Splinterman
  19. It says your petition was sent back to the states after a white slip, with a recommendation for revocation "We will notify you of any action we take on this case" - watch your mailbox. Congratulations on the marriage. Hey Randy, I am STILL watching my mailbox. Hey Charles, are you watching that mailbox for the NOID letter OR any birds hiding out of fear for their lives?

  21. Jay, you are so right-It's our time! Everyone, PLEASE, I ask of you-regardless if you have been one of the lucky ones who got the visa-PLEASE join together and contact your congresspersons, Hillary Clinton, Janice Jacobs and the Big O himself and ask them to sponsor an investigation into the way that Guangzhou has been doing business, and insist on a reform of that consulate! It only takes a half-hour of your time to email or print out a letter, maybe include a copy of Mr. Roth's letter, and send it to all of the people referenced above! You would be doing a great service to all those couples who haven't yet had their interview, and you could really be instrumental in leveling the playing field. This is our best opportunity to date to get something moving on changing Guangzhou. Please do not squander this golden opportunity! Thanks, Warren
  22. LOL, but BAD news for the birds is that your wife is resourceful. Get this brother C, yesterday I came home and found the remnants of another bird Yep, she had caught another one and she did fry it in oil and eat it. She's practicing for that wild turkey.... Yep...............but she is gonna need a huge wok for the turkey. Good news for the birds here..........My wife just started a new job so now there are several hours each day that they will be safe.
