Is the consulate easy to handle with or stressful one? Anybody who has an idea? I am going thru HK consulate. TIMELINE I-130Sept/12/2005 – Day 1 - I-130 sent to VSCSept/14/2005 – Day 2 - NOA1 notice dateOct/17/2005 - Day 33- NOA2 notice dateNov/04/2005 – Day 51 - AOS bill, DS3032 and case number in mailNov/16/2005 – Day 63 - Sent AOS billNov/21/2005 – Day 68 - DS3032 generatedNov/23/2005 – Day 70 - DS3032 entered into the systemNov/28/2005 – Day 75 - NVC cashed $70 fee billDec/02/2005 – Day 79 - I-864 generated I-129F Sept/20/2005 – Day 1 - I-129 sent to ChicagoSept/26/2005 – Day 6 - NOA1 notice dateNov/01/2005 – Day 36 - NOA2 notice dateNov/11/2005 – Day 46 - Called NVC and got case numberNov/15/2005 – Day 50 - Left NVCNov/20/2005 – Day 55 – Embassy received Edited December 10, 2005 by jakerhod (see edit history) Link to comment

frank1538 Posted December 10, 2005 Report Share Posted December 10, 2005 Welcome to CFL. Based on your timeline, you may be here for only a short period of time. There are a handful of members who processed through Hong Kong, and they should be able to shed some light on the process. Don't hold me to this, but I seem to recall that the USC might even be able to attend the interview. As far as a stressful process, I would bet my last dollar that it's a lot less stressful than going through Guangzhou, particularly when you consider the efficiency that is often exhibited by the Hong Kong consulate. My USC husband decided to go with our I-130 since it wil be processed here in HK. Link to comment
