lele
You are at the mercy of the USCIS and GZ. I like to think it is also a place where we can go for support from our CFL brothers and sisters. A close knit family here to support each other through this long and difficult period in our lives.Very nicely put Carl. Thank you, yet again for all of your kind words and help. Link to comment
BuffaloPaul
Sorry to have offended anyone here. I don't have any political agenda - I'm just an avid reader. I thought this was just an interesting perspective that would help all dealing with long wait times. I see lots of people getting angry at Immigrations but rarely see any information or discussion about the other side of the coin. Link to comment
DaveR
I found this article to be interesting. While it may or may not be from an immigration officer, but it probably does convey what is wrong with the system. Congress does not really care about immigration as long terrorist do not come into the US. Unless they are in heavily Hispanic states that have a high illegal population, then immigration is a hot stove issue. I do find the official reason about rudeness and lack of manners to be totally inapproriate. He works in a job that sees hundreds of people a day, that may not speak English well and are nervous about the process. You may see fraud and liars and have to make a quick descision, but that does not mean you have to be an a**hole to everyone. I do not mean you have to engage in conversation, but it would not hurt to smile and be pleasant. I work in a casino where we deal with people and money and alcohol, but it is not hard to be pleasant, even when someone is yelling about a mistake. And I see hundreds of people a day also. So don't say it cannot be done, just pull your head out of the sand and be polite. Just my 2 yuan. David Link to comment
eeyore
Sounds like another round of CHEETOS for everybody. I getting a little tired of cheetos His/her option may be bias and unfounded but I'm sure that the immigration people are overwhelmed with casework. regardless of who is at fault there does not seem to be enough employees in most of the related departments to cover the workload. However, with that said the post can not really be substantiated and even if it is the total truth it does not help us. The waiting is still the waiting either way. One thing though, so far everyone I have talked to from INS has treated me fine and have given me nothing to complain about. Link to comment
eeyore
One more though about this subject. Unfortunate the criminal element make it so much harder in the rest of us. Fear of fraud is probably the main reason for such long delays and could be the reason for the arbitrary changes in procedures. Its a lot harder to commit fraud if your not sure as to what will be required to submit. I just hope that not judged guilty before proven innocent. Link to comment
Mengxin
Could this post please be removed. Another biased and prejudical work! **UGGHH**1. it cites a source who is possibly completely fake and made up. there is no ownership to this.2. it comes from a website which is politically biased (it is a front for one of the two major political parties in the US). I just checked its financial supporters to verify this.3. even if it were supported, I do not see how this relates to the visa process for us, where we face wait times to get to see the officer which are far longer than almost every other destination in the world.4. it makes dehumanizing attacks and seems on par with the one removed earlier on today. If anyone else agrees with me that we should remove this, please speak up on this thread! You get upset and bothered too easily. relax.
