Chinese mother in law visiting Spain but need to have her come directl

I have my mother -in-law that visited my sister-in-law in Spain. She is due to depart in April 12, 2020 but I would prefer her to come to the USA directly from Spain while the virus in China is still active. She does have a b2 US visa.

How long has she been in Spain flu-free?

She has been in Spain now for 2 months and is virus free and reason I want her in the US instead of China.

I think that for now, all Chinese visitors are being turned away.

Since she has not been physically present in Mainland China in the last 14 days, there is no problem for her to come to the US.

Be sure to check policies in effect at the time of travel

A lot of folks in China lie about where they have been in order to get out so the authorities don't know your mother n law so they don't know if she is telling the truth or not. I would try to do the same thing if I was in your place but you have to look at their side of the thing. They are trying to protect Americans. We just had a Chinese person slip through Shanghai from Wuhan and into ILM airport and he infected 5 of his friends and he still is not exhibiting any systems and they got suspicious of him and tested him and he turned out to be the carrier. So now we have 6 positive cases where out nearest case was Boston before.
