Birding.

Recommended Posts

The past few days I have spotted a Northern Mockingbird near the Tim Hortons coffee shop I frequent on the way to work, now that bird can sing.

In the mornings I can hear them out my window at my apartment.

China’s "most beautiful birds" spotted in #Hubei

We have both of those here too and the doves remained me that I saw a Killdeer in the yard yesterday and the wife wanted to know what it was. They lay their eggs right on the ground in the grass or rocks and depend on camouflage and it works great too. I swear that you can walk up to within 5 feet of them and not see them. If you are not looking for them you will surely step on them. The parents will try the broken wing trick on you though.

Can you spot them? This is not my yard but pictures from the internet.

Yep, just up the road a ways they make their nests and lay their eggs in the gravel driveways here too It's unique to see all the houses with orange cones and bird signs in their parking spaces, and it's nice to see the people let them be for their nesting time too. Yes, they sure are hard to spot until they put on the broken wing maneuver. Amazing how nature works.
