Randy W
from China Pictorial at Xiongse Monastery in Tibet on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/553929144732479/posts/3013237975468238/ Quote Xiongse Monastery is located on the hillside of Xiongse mountain along the southern bank of the Lhasa river. It is the largest Buddhist convent in Tibet. The temple mainly consists of two parts, the Buddhist Hall and the nuns’ house. The hall was built on a platform in front of the nuns’ house. The main buildings were a white tower, a great hall, and a small hall also called a Tibetan chamber. The temple owns the most beautiful natural landscape from April to October every year. With singing birds and fragrant flowers among mountains and rivers, goshawks sweeping in the blue sky and white clouds, rabbits and pheasants wandering around the forest streams, it is the golden season to visit the temple.
