Xiongse Monastery is located on the hillside of Xiongse mountain along the southern bank of the Lhasa river. It is the largest Buddhist convent in Tibet.
The temple mainly consists of two parts, the Buddhist Hall and the nuns’ house. The hall was built on a platform in front of the nuns’ house. The main buildings were a white tower, a great hall, and a small hall also called a Tibetan chamber.
The temple owns the most beautiful natural landscape from April to October every year. With singing birds and fragrant flowers among mountains and rivers, goshawks sweeping in the blue sky and white clouds, rabbits and pheasants wandering around the forest streams, it is the golden season to visit the temple. Stromatolites near Chongqing from iChongqing

Quote
Stromatolites or stromatoliths are layered mounds, columns, and sheet-like sedimentary rocks that were originally formed by the growth of layer upon layer of cyanobacteria, a single-celled photosynthesizing microbe. Fossilized stromatolites provide records of ancient life on Earth. Wikipedia

Built in 1967, Chongqing 816 underground nuclear plant was used to produce atomic bombs. It is the world's largest man-made tunnel structure in the world. Complete with art installations and cool neon lights — it’s a great tourist destination unlike any other!
