Well after completing ALL! this paper work and converting all papers to PDF.

This Fu***ing government we live in can just bit my ass.

As i just said WTF!

My POS 1000$ server i run for my home business could run The U.S. better than this crap.

 

OK!! I'm done ranting now? Feel a little better: NOT!

 

Been trying to sent all AOS and supporting documents to the NVC site and the error above is what i/we get.

 

What has our world come to when you/we can't sent a simple email.

You should get a DIFFERENT error - the error you showed here says Recipient Not Found.

Yes, I have been trying to send for over two hours now and i keep getting the same error.

As i said before MY POS server runs better and MORE reliable than the system that is in place now with-in our government.

 

It's a wonder anything gets taken care of with in our system in a timely matter?

 

Really? everyone is always on vacation?

DO NOT CLICK on the link nvcelectronic@state.gov <- incorrect link on the NVC site it will take you to http://nvcdocuments@state.gov.

RW - these links are all incorrect also - make sure that the email is addressed to nvcelectronic@state.gov. Cut and paste the address works fine, though, just like Mike says.

The incorrect link seems to be at Step 6: Submit Documents to the NVC. The text says

but it actually links to nvcdocuments@state.gov, which does not exist.

This post I made has that same incorrect link, but the link to Document Scanning FAQs has the correct addresses w/links on THAT page under How do I send the scanned documents to the NVC?

 

A nasty little "gotcha" there - thanks for sorting that out. The email address nvcelectronic@state.gov <- CORRECT link works, nvcdocuments@state.gov does not, regardless of what the hyperlink text displays.

 

Moral of the story - make sure your email has the correct address nvcelectronic@state.gov <- CORRECT link . That damn NVC link is awfully pervasive.

Ok here is an update.

 

The issues with the email address in the posts Randy and myself posted above are indeed broken.

After i just copyed and pasted nvcelectronic@state.gov to my email browser eveything seem to be sent with no errors.

 

Just a few hours ago we received email from NVC stating case numbers have been changed to GZO.

 

Now for another update:

I may have found a small loop hole in the sending of the 5MB rule.

After this whole mess with the email thing i and reading this guote a few more times i realized

it was not saying anything about the email it self but the Attachments need to be below 5MB and says nothing about how many you

can send at one time.

 

So i took a chance and sent ALL files i had in One email. Each FILE was 5MB or below.

I sent one email for the wife and one email for step son.

 

Each email sent had well over 5MB and closer to 40-45MB but EACH FILE sent in one email was below the 5MB rule.

My total size is currently at 23 MB, and that's from 40 PDF attachments. (My largest PDFs are 1.9 MB in size, and these are documents like property appraisals which are 17 pages long, etc.)

I'm hoping to send it all in one email. Yahoo and Gmail allow 25 MB to be sent. (Maybe I still need to get it down to 22 MB to allow for email to work, etc)

 

Anyone else have experience of sending one huge email with the attachments totaling way over 5 MB?
