RobertH
While in China next month Hui wants to change her name on her passport. She will be traveling to China on a ticket with her madin name on it. Will it be a problem returning with a passport that will then have her married name? Link to comment
Ryan H
Airlines usually require the name on the ticket match the documentation used to check-in. Edited April 22, 2012 by Ryan H (see edit history) Link to comment
dnoblett
Normally they wont change name in the passpoet, they make an addendum stating "AKA" My wife's chinese passport still shows maiden name even after renewing, we never bothered changing it. Her new American passport IS in married name. When ever traveling domestic airline tickets were married name and simply used drivers license , and if international used maiden name with Chinese passport, in the future she will use married name using American passport.
