Smitty
Griz, what ever the outcome is, I certainly hope for you that it works out for the better. I have a coworker that had a similar back pain issue. The docs cut his back open and ground his spine into shape. After that he could actually walk again and not look like he had planks in his pants. griz326
I've lost 16 pounds at this point and it has provided a substantial reduction in the pain; I feel certain before this experience my current 24/7 pain level would have made me miserable, but after where I was, this is great. My original goal was 40 pounds, but my current thinking is to lose as much weight as I can because it means less stress on my neck and spine. Maybe I can get back down to my merchant seaman weight of 160 I also tried an inversion table last night and didn't particularly like it, but there'll be a few more tries at it before I write it off. Thanks for the suggestions, guys. Link to comment
dan_ling
Glad to hear you are doing better. The inversion table does take some time getting used to, and you should not to be inverted more than a few minutes. While inverted you can do some crunches to build up your stomach muscles which will relieve some of the stress from your back. Link to comment
