June Interview Group

Recommended Posts

Talked to my lady today............ The P3 and P4 are in the envelope together. P3 must be mailed in as usual, but the interview is already set in stone.

DoS has the interview date and time in their system, so I'm not too worried about it. I'm going to wait and see what happens after she mails the P3 to Guangzhou.

I'll keep updating as it happens.................. Strange Days....

I Did All Electronic Processing for My Wife for our CR1 Visa. Really does make a Hugh Difference. Completed Processing at NVC in 28 Days from the time I got my Case Number.

  • NVC Recevied Case From USCIS 13 April 2010
  • OPTIN Processing Accepted 23 April 2010
  • Case Completed 11 May 2010
  • Interview Date Received 13 May 2010
  • Interview Date Set: 15 June 2010 @0730

So, I will be going there. Now the next part,, Getting a good airfare to Guangzhou from Seattle.. Anyone have ideas about airfare?

I used vayama.com and had good results. Did you check out this recent thread?

There seems to be a lot information on this subject in the "Communications Planes and Shipping" forum

For some strange reason, the search function on this site isn't working for me or I'd give you more specific help.

Thank You. I've started to look at different Airlines. Eva Air seems ok, but prices are still around 1500 - 2000 USD. Seems High, especially since I am on the west coast. You'd think it would be cheaper from Seattle... But Nooooooo...

Try Orbitz http://www.orbitz.com ( seeing prices in the 1200 - 1400 range RT for SEA -- CAN if traveling a week or so from now, may be higher in June )

Note airport codes SEA = Seattle and CAN = Guangzhou

United through SFO-PVG and then maybe a domestic China flight to CAN. United has been working on a SFO-CAN flight but it has been delayed and I don't know think it is running yet.

Also try Asiana SEA-ICN and then onto CAN. I am sure Asiana flies there.

I did electronic filing and everything was emailed to NVC. Nothing was ever mailed to NVC, will just need to bring all original documents need to be brought to interview. So YES, if electronic filing you need not mail anything.. SO it is possible.

  • 2 weeks later...

All, be aware Consulate fee for K-Visa goes up to $350 on June 4, so if interview is on or after June 4 you should be paying the new fee.
