Talked to my lady today............ The P3 and P4 are in the envelope together. P3 must be mailed in as usual, but the interview is already set in stone. DoS has the interview date and time in their system, so I'm not too worried about it. I'm going to wait and see what happens after she mails the P3 to Guangzhou. I'll keep updating as it happens.................. Strange Days....

After sitting in Chinese customs for 7 months, the P3 was mailed on May 4th. DoS is telling me I requested an expedited interview and it is scheduled on June 2nd. Has anyone else received an interview date before receiving the P3? I'm not complaining, but I don't recall reading anything about an expedited interview. 2009 Tax return shows $22k, but it was all unemployment insurance. No earned income. At what point do you have to show 2009 tax info? Past April? It would be much easier to avoid 2009 all together.

So if I choose to play it safe and have a co-sponsor, is it form 864 that the co-sponsor has to fill out? Or is it both a I-134 w/ 864? Thanks in advance

Yeah, she knows, but she is also aware of how stubborn i am about $. I am a robotics engineer by trade and ever since the recession companies have been hiring engineers as "technicians" @ half the hourly rate (and no international travel ). If i had a family and was desperate for funds, i would take it, but i don't so i'm waiting for the sh*t to blow over and rates to go back to normal. I run my own company, but haven't had a contract since 2007. I worked in 2008 for another company, but that was the last point of employment. I suppose i could write a letter stating i work for myself, which wouldn't be a lie and state i am actively searching for contracts. I will be returning to Beijing at the end of Feb. and will be teaching english to pass the time while the sweet lady is @ work. Sh*t, i guess i could get a letter from them..? What does the board think?

I have been unemployed and collecting unemployment for almost a year (not by choice). Is there anyone out there who was in this situation and still had the visa go through? For the record, I collected $23,000 in unemployment which is over the 125% poverty requirement. The employment letter for the interview is a big concern right now....

Did not get P3 yet....... Scott@Hong was kind enough to provide me with a phone number to track my K1 paperwork. It is in France right now for some reason (hopefully just a mail route).

3timescharm, I noticed that GUZ lost your paperwork. How did you find that out? I think I might be in the same boat. Also, how do I participate on the cflgallery timeline? Would like to comfort those who filed around the same time. Any help is much appreciated, Craig
