P4 list???

It seems pretty much everyone on my previous list has received their P3. Should I start a list of P4 information to make sure no one falls through the cracks?

 

And if someone who was on the list has not received a P3, please raise your hand... or perform some online version of raising your hand.

Also, I'd like to ask everyone here if anyone has heard how long, lately, it's taking to get from P3 to P4 to interview?

 

Sure would be nice to have a ballpark idea on which to build dreams on (to later be shattered).

I don't have the exact letter on-hand that GZ sent me day before yesterday. Basically, they told me that they have not yet received her OF-160 and DS-230. She called them on Monday or Tuesday and was told that they have received our P3 and have yet to process it. So, I figure it will either be soon.. or not.. ..

 

I really am getting tired of the double-talk and this need for me to apply pressure if I want any kind of information or action on my case. It blows my mind that its as easy as creating a simple spreadsheet that looks like our timelines with GUZ #, P3 sent date, P3 receipt date, P4 send date, and interview date on it and making it publicly available. There'd be no privacy issues, everyone would be informed, and I'd stop calling them as often .. oh well..

If anyone is interested, Spring Festival starts 1/22/04. If necesary, I'd sleep in the streets if I had to to be there during the interview. But, as Rob thought, I'll bet that the pit crews' interviews will be later than published.

 

I'm hoping for January, but expect February.

Bobby, they will not even start the next round of checks for you until they recieve the OF-169 and the DS-230. Have them faxed and also sent by EMS--ASAP..

 

I don't know why but the Chinese Spring Festival is in February, January 22, 2004, is the start of the Chinese New Year, big celebration!!!!

We sent them, we have record of them receiving them.

I think a P4 list is a great idea, the P3 helped me just to see what was going on......

 

i wrote GZ the other day and they told me they have not receieved my fiance's P3, but we have the EMS record showing it was signed for on 11/26, so go figure! anyway, we are waiting for P4 too, and hopefully the interviews will be in Jaunary, though it would be too late for a good Christmas present, it would make for an EXCELLENT birthday present for me, January 20- as well as the anniversary date of us being officially engaged for one year!

 

anyway, i enjoy keeping up with everyone's status, so a P4 list would be excellent robhon!!!

I got one of these too. Wording's almost identical, except mine listed the forms they received (since I listed them in my question, I think )

 

I don't know about everyone else, but GZ has been doing a great job answer my e-mails. With the last few, I've been getting a reply just a few hours later! One time I got one after 6 PM on a Friday GZ time!

maybe it was due to the Thanksgiving holiday, but i sent an email to GZ on 11/19 and didn't get a reply until 12/2. It was "technically" 7 business days if you count the out of the consulate for thurs and fri for thanksgiving. but anyway, i have heard of a lot of people getting good response times from them, but i haven't been so fortunate. i have just sent them another message since they stated in the last one that they haven't received our P3, so we will see how long it takes this time! i dont think much is contant around there. somethings are fast some of the time and a lot things are slow a lot of the time!

There's been talk on 001 on how some people needed to have a name check done between P3 and P4 while others did not. Anyone know anything about that? The current hypothesis seems to be some files got forwarded to GZ from NVC before the check was complete, but that doesn't sound right to me...

 

Also, a number analyzer over there (their own resident Clifford ) noticed that people tended to get P4's towards the beginning of the month, say between the 5th and the 10th. Has anyone noticed that trend here?

i have just sent them another message since they stated in the last one that they haven't received our P3, so we will see how long it takes this time!

It took them about a week and a half to get our P3 in the system. You're right; it depends on when you catch them, since I know some people get theirs in within a day. And with Jasonw, a week and a half was more time than they needed to complete processing of his file.

 

Boy, this entire process with GZ has really reaffirmed my believe in God, or Lao Tien. There seems to be no order or structure or how long things take or who gets picked next...

Where my faith in the One True God comes in with all of this is helping me believe that though GZ has no order, God does. I know that He has our exact wedding date on His "calendar" up there in Heaven and He will give us the strength to endure until His timing is right.

 

I do correspond with GZ just know what they will tell me, but all in all, God is the one who is in control and I would rather wait on His perfect timing than to have it all my way and possibly be jumping the gun on some part of the blessings He desires to give to us.

 

There are a lot of unanswered questions for Jacob and I. Some of which can't be answered until he gets here, but they are things we kind of would like to know NOW. Me being the girl and him being the guy throws our situaiton off a little compared to most others. I am actually still in school full time and only work part time right now, i live at home with my parents, i live with them again that is, not still, but anyway, we have a lot of challenges, as everyone else does too.

 

At this point, we are unsure how we will even make it financially, but all the while trusting in God to provide for us. We believe our relationship was brought together by God and we have the faith to know He will sustain us. We feel we are acting in His will by getting married, so we believe He will continue to bless us and show us His way. We desire to live a life together that brings honor and glory to Him alone!

 

I really felt like i needed to share all of that, so i hope that it may be helpful or encouraging for someone reading this. Find Christ, He is the only one in whom you can trust and depend. People will always disappoint you. in the midst of disappointments and frustrations from GZ and other parts of this process, we have sought Him for strength to continue, in times of success and victory, we have Praised Him for His blessings in our lives!

 

With Christmas coming up especially, it will be tough for some of us who are without our dearly loved ones, but never forget Who is always with you and Who's birthday it is we are celebrating in the first place!
