My fiancee is on K-1 Visa, in the SSN application form, it asks for Citizenship:

1. U.S. Citizen

2. Legal Alien Allowed to Work

3. Legal Alien Not Allowed to Work

4. Other

Which should I choose?

Went to City Hall today... Silly me, I thought Marriage License was the only thing required. I had to pay for the marriage ceremony too. $98 for the Marriage License, $70 for the Ceremony, $13 for a copy of the marriage Cert.

Now I wonder how much is one of the outside vendors charge -- Could've save time

Note do not send the certificate to USCIS, send a photo-copy of it.

dnoblett, I know you have posted this many times, I thought i have bookmarked it too, but could you please send out again the website for how to find a local surgeon general (or whatever the right place is) to do this for cheap?

Thanks!

Call around for a price, you may need to visit office with form I-693 and I-485 instructions in hand with paragraphs highlighted indicating that K-Visa holders ONLY need vaccinations part done, NOT a full medical, that was done in China for the visa.

The i-693 asks for A-Number and SSN. The A-Number should be the same as the one on NOA2 right? My wife doesn't have the SSN yet (applied but haven't received). Should we wait for the SSN?

Thanks.

Make SURE that you always use the A # from the NOA2 - we have seen people end up with two different case files for their two different A #'s - it ain't pretty.

The SS # is not required for AOS filing - fill in if available.

A# used on I-485, G-325A, I-693, etc will be found on I-129F Approval notice that you need to send a copy of with your I-485.

And as Randy said, SSN is not needed to file I-485, provide it if you have one before filing I-485.
