We got to the Consulate at 7:00. Two long lines already formed. It looked like she was 3/4 of the way back in the line. Another American (who was working in China) there with his wife, approached me and struck up a conversation, informing me not to worry about her placement in line as the interview schedule was already known to the VOs. Meaning, my wife could be the last one in but the first one called. When they went in I walked with her up to the 4th floor then told her I'd be in the coffee shop (I dare not tell her what I spent on a can of coke though, she'd be furious! ). She was back down VERY quickly with pink in hand. She told me she was confident, conducted the interview in all english and when asked she gave long, detailed answers. She felt confident and she thinks (and I agree) that this was a big factor, she was friendly and all smiles and the VO returned the mood to my wife. We had a thick stack of paperwork that made my arm hurt to carry, but all she was asked for were photos. A third of those photos, by the way, were of me with my wife's family. They are my family too, but for clarity ... we'll say 'her' family. To go over again, my wife's mood and demeanor were so light and airy, that she had the VO laughing along with her when she answered questions. My wife said she was sad for the interview to end, she doesnt get to use English much except with me. Anyways, I hope this helps! My advice ... confidence, preparedness, english (if possible) and a HUGE dose of good luck cant hurt! Link to comment

She wont be coming for another month or two, possibly she may wait and spend Chinese New Year with her family before she comes, while this is longer than I want ... I can busy myself by finishing the work in her office here in my house. Anyways, if anyone can post a link to a thread to tell me what comes next after she gets here ... GC, AOS, etc?
