SteveK
My wife has her green card and Chinese passport. We are taking a cruise ship with stops at several Mexican ports, Costa Rica, Panama, and Colombia. Will she need to apply for a tourist visa for each country? Does having her green card make any difference? Or, will they only care about her country of citizenship (China). Link to comment
dnoblett
for Mexico, Canada, and the Caribbean, NO, however for the rest of the world where a Chinese citizen needs a visa, YES. A useful tool to determine visa requirements is on Delta Airlines website: http://www.delta.com/planning_reservations...rt_information/ (Simply fill in Chinese citizen, US Permanent resident, and destination country.) I'm glad to hear Mexico does not require a visa for green card holders. You just saved me a day sitting in Mexican consulate. Thanks so much for the Delta link! That is a great resource. Thanks, Jeff & JianliThis is a common question, The answer is NO visa needed to enter HK, I believe she will be allowed a stay up to 7 days without a visa. Visa required, except for A stay of max. 7 days: - for nationals of China (People's Rep.)(not holding Special Administrative Region passports) traveling to a third destination; http://www.timaticweb.com/cgi-bin/tim_webs...ubuser=DELTAB2C Link to comment
