Phillip2
My wife's interview is scheduled for 5/21 and my son's paperwork is still sitting in customs. I had to resubmitt my stepson's paperwork because of an error made by my lawyer at the time. This ended up giving him a seprate case number. However, i got his paperwork almost caught back up to my wife's before they scheduled her interview. they expedited his cases through NVC and now his paperwork is in Chinese customs.NVC had issues sending his over electronically and I found out they findly received it on 4/24/09 today. I was going to call Guangzhou Embassy to see if they could move his case forward to my wife's However, the number to the Embassy say's they only answer question in Mandrain. I know some Chinese but not enough to carry on a very long conversation. My wife speaks better at English. My problem is I am going to China next week for the interview of her's on 5/21. What number can I call to get to speak to someone in English to see if they can bring his case up soon enough to do with my wife's. She already has all here paperwork. Or, is it to late!!! my stepson is only 15 years old. I would need to send them both back for his interview then before coming to America. Link to comment
Missingyou
Will you be going to the Guangzhou area already? How about attending ACH or ACS? Or you can try sending them an e-mail. I have succesfully gotten reply back from them before in about 3 days regarding my husband's interview at that time. Link to comment
Randy W
Faxes and/or email through their website are the only ways to communicate. They are responsive, but are you sure you would want to postpone her interview at this stage? Link to comment
IllinoisDave
Phillip - you need to contact GUZ and remind them about the expedite. Once they KNOW you have an expedite in place, they can reschedule or pull the case file for the step-son, forward. Here's how to contact GUZ. 1. email - hit this web page - http://www.usembassy-china.org.cn/guangzhou/iv/email.html 2. Call the Shanghai Call Center - must prepay for time first - see https://www.usavisainformation.com.cn/eng/index.aspx Link to comment

Phillip2
Thanks to everyone for the fast response. I do not want to postpond the interview at all for her. I only want to see if I can get his pulled up to hers. However, she may need to stay a little longer for his interview. I already have tickets to go a week from this Friday. Link to comment
mikepellicore
We sent many emails, and they responded very quickly, less than 48 hrs usually, but the reply was to a completely different name and always a canned answer "we do not have your file, we can do nothing for you.I would suggest using the fax number, it seems that you get good answers, maybe from the VO's. Good Luck, Mike & Yizhen Link to comment
david_dawei
whatever you send (fax or email), send all the info on both of them, and yourself; often we hear GUZ say, 'there was not enough info to identify the petitioner or beneficiary'.... give full names, DOB, GUZ #, wife's cell phone, etc. Link to comment

Phillip2
Well I findly figured it out about calling. However , it was a waste of my time. They have no information regading my stepsons case and told me to e-mail the Embassy which I already had done. I am waiting for there answer now. My wife is still scheduled for her interview and I will continue to move forward wit her case. She will stay in China until his interview. It was worth the effort instead of assuming anything. I am just glad it is almost over and soon they both will be here. Link to comment
