Hi.

Well I sent a box today Global express It was $54.00. I had labels with her Name and address in Chinese, that I had sent to my email, I put right under the postal form that is required to have her name in English Plus on all sides of the box I put Her Chinese address. I claimed everything, toys perfume,Chocolate covered macnuts,watches,snacks, and most important the I-129-F, Biographic info papers. For her to sign and put any info that I could not provide. Total value About $95.00. I feel much better the papers are on thier way so finally some progress wiil be made on us being together. We have been waiting for about a Year and a half now, even me being seperated from my wife for over four years. She made it almost impossible for me to complete the divorce which finally ended last month. I am totally looking forward to recieving the papers back from Mei. So I can file that day with the BICS. Thanks for any and all input.

Don't be too surprised if she has to pay about $ 30. Chinese tax on your box that you valued and $ 95. Anything over $ 40 dollars the Chinese take tax from the receiver. Hope they miss your, but tell her to be prepared to pay.

I've sent stuff that I've declared to be over $40 before and my fiancee never mentioned about having to pay a tax. Gonna have to give her a ring and find out of I've been costing her money...

Unless the ring costs less than $40, it most certainly will cost her money.

Been several years ago, but my wife did not have to pay any tax on the ring I mailed to her.
