ididntdoit
If a person realy wants to do this there are many places onthe web one can find this type of work. ESL is only one ofmany, there are also .gov programs as well as differentreligions that offer these programs in China. Many of whichyou need no BA or a degree of any kind. You need only tospeak english. It can be very complicated to do this, thats well known. This truly has to be something you want to do. Yes it canbe rewarding to you as well as the children. Just makesure you ask and know all the faqs before doing this. Bottom line is these kids can and will care about you fasterthan you think (if you thought about that). So be sure thisis what you want to do. These children come first not yourthoughts of a worthy goal or a dollar bill. That has to be thelast thing on your mind. In truth it should not be there at all. Guest ShaQuaNew
I can not PM anyone. I have a friend who has a BA who just told me he would like to teach English in China. Please let me know what he needs to do. Thanks There are English teachers all over China. The best thing to do is contact someone that's now working here and get their perspective. There are good companies, and bad ones. You can't expect to get rich doing it, and many teachers appear to be young and single. The vast majority burn out after one year. A few stay. If you're really interested in getting more information, I can put you in touch with the English teachers at my office. Edited April 15, 2009 by ShaQuaNew (see edit history) Link to comment
