robhon
Five months to get a P3? Geez! You must have gone mad waiting for it! Oh, no! They're only up to April? Jerrywhat do you think of my timeline? I think everyone is looking at very abbreviated timelines here and missing some real information. People are not waiting 5 months AFTER their case is sent to GZ. They're waiting 4, 5 or 6 months for their name checks to be completed here in the US (NVC, DOS, FBI, etc.). There are a whole other segment of people, like myself, who waited many months for their name checks to be completed and are now waiting to receive their P3. If you've only receive your NOA1 and NOA2 you are not really waiting for a P3. You're waiting on your security (name) check to be completed. Link to comment
crazynanhai
We waited 4 months for the instuction packet , and hitting over 385 days for the name clearance , and that is after GZ received the instuction packet forms 230 and ext.. This has taken more then 16 months from the date the I129f forms were mailed . And the name check has not cleared yet . I think if she is not here by January , 2004 then to h ll with it I'm moving to China to be with her!! Link to comment
Bob & Minglian
I'm in complete agreement with Rob. And although our case has finally been forwarded to GZ via DHL on September 26 it is still sitting in the DHL terminal in GZ waiting for the U.S. Consulate to sign a document or two saying it's okay for DHL to deliver the package. Of course, contacting the U.S. Consulate only results in they "don't have the package" (they are correct) and contacting DHL only results in they are "waiting on the U.S. Consulate" (also correct). Yes, the wait is incredibly slow and agonizing AND, for the most part, we are kept in the dark about our own cases. Link to comment

However, I know of another who just received P3 and was also in Aug 8th mailing.................so hopefully the logjam is starting to move..? Link to comment
