I once heard that there are only 2 lauguages you can learn and be able to comunicate with 1/2 the world , English , and Chinese . It will be a long time before I can do that by my self . Hello The final months will be around 20 months from the fileing date . After talking with Ms. Forman at GZ and Mortan at FBI . I do see the end . Interview date Jan.05 ,2004 , Visa Jan.06 ????? and In the air for 14 hours on the 7th I sure hope so . Thanks for the numbers and names to get this going again I feel good now !! Ladd

I am usaly quit , and read the posts to help my case . Ray your wife can leave China go to a lot of countrys , but not to the US . She is not being detaned , only not being let in to the US , yet . Orrin like many others my reserch lead me to believe my case will take up to 6 months . 12 months latter I was still waiting and learning a lot . 16 months latter my father passes away and still no visa for my fiancee . I am on my 19 month now . I just received a email from GZ telling me the name check was completed and our interview will be Jan.05,2004 . And the P4 packet will be sent out next week . GZ did what the could with the number of cases the have . The FBI took 145 days , 25 days more then what they like them to take . But after talking to FBI superviser and telling her my time line and happenings . it took them 1 1/2 weeks to clear the case and get it to GZ . The BIG delay was with the DOS . Many do not understand there system and give out false information . And from the time I was introduced to my girl till the time she gets here with the visa will be just under 5 years . And Thank God for this wait is about to get over !! Ladd

Don or anyone I have talked with FBI about condor , mantis and eagle visas . They said they have not heard of the hawk visa what is this visa and why did they say they have not heard of it Ladd

Mick you are correct I have waited 18 months so far and have not got the name clearance done , or P4 packet . Something about the name clearance needs to be completed before P4 packet sent . I am still on the old system I think . Ladd

I did some calculations useing Robert Garrett Jr and David Hardy's report and came up with .205 hr per case to clear 85% of the names in the name clearance .220 hr for the next 10% of the names to clear . 1.477 hr for the next 3 to 4 % to clear . Useing June 2003 numbers the hours spent is 1890.65 hrs so if you are the last name on the list you waited many hours Does this sound right ?

Would it find the correct house , in china NO . We forgot the number 1 for gate 1 and the p3 packet never made it . We had to have a new packet P3 recient and it made it 10 weeks longer then it should have . Everything has to be perfect if not it will add time to the process . Ladd

My understanding from GZ is they will validate the petition at the time of the interview . And if the were to keep validateing it when it exs. then you could say I'm on my 4th validation . I have asked GZ many times because I have got different answeres to the same guestion , DOS and GZ both . One answere was " Was it valid when we received the request if so no problem with it being valid " Hope this helps calm the nerves

We waited 4 months for the instuction packet , and hitting over 385 days for the name clearance , and that is after GZ received the instuction packet forms 230 and ext.. This has taken more then 16 months from the date the I129f forms were mailed . And the name check has not cleared yet . I think if she is not here by January , 2004 then to h ll with it I'm moving to China to be with her!!

Hey I'm 6.2 and the tallest in my family , and the tallest when with any of my 5 sisters familys . And when in China its hard to lose me , or me lose her . And when I get in a plane and my left shoulder is against the window and my right one is against my buddys shoulder and his right shoulder is against the window , with no luggage because we are at gross take off weight smaller is better . So if your big enough to do what you like to do , your the right size . I know I can't be a horse jockey , tad bit to tall . So size only maters when you can't get the job done .
