jp2008
Hi All, I'm new here on CFL. My Fiancee and I had our interview last Monday and we recieved the BLUE slip. It only had one item boxed: "Submit I-134 for co-sponsor and written letter stating why he/she is willing to sponsor for your benificiary". I got the requested docs mailed yesterday in Guangzhou, they should be recieving it today. Does anybody know how long it usually takes for them to get back to you for a financial blue slip like ours? Thank you for your time! Link to comment
HelloWorld08
they want a co-sponsor because your income was not enough? Link to comment
Yan and Tom
Expect three months or more. Hopefully it will be quicker Link to comment
jp2008
Expect three months or more. Hopefully it will be quicker I saw on a similar post a couple months back by "Xu And Wang" that their wait was only about 1 month. Yes, they said my income was not enough, even though I had other assets. Anyway, does 1 month sound hopefull for these types of financial Blue slips? Thanks Link to comment

BTW, what is the difference between I-864 and I-134? They asked for the I-134 from my co-sponsor, not the I-864. Thanks Link to comment
steveandrong
speaking from our own blue slip experience, i would say that it is more toward the 2-3 month range, after guz recieves and processes the documentation.....don't hold your breath waiting, but it will happen. Good Luck! Edited March 23, 2009 by steveandrong (see edit history) Link to comment

Thanks I-864 is for adjustment of Status IC, so you think the I-134 for my co-sponsor should be processed in a month or so right? Well thats what I'm hoping right now. I'll stick to your estimate! georgeandli
The difference between the two. The 134 is like a mini 864. Unless someone comes along to correct me. Financials "generally" move quickly. Link to comment

georgeandli
Not mini faster 134 is a "lite" 864. They are used for different purposes. 864 would outrank the 134 in so far as it requires more info. Link to comment

Well all they asked for other than the I-134 form, which I submitted with 3 years tax returns and bank statements from my co-sponsor and the "letter of reason for willing to sponsor". Hopefully they are satisfied with that. Link to comment
jp2008
One other question, what happens if GZ is still not satisfied with my co-sponsor financials? Do they send me another blue-slip? Link to comment
