Important Update on Clearance Delay in GUZ

I emailed GUZ on Thursday night. And this morning I got a reply. Heres what it says: We just received the file form NVC. The case is now in the process of scheduling. Once we complete it, we will notify you of the interview. For once some good news! I hope everyone gets the same news. This made my day.

 

Thanks, Brian. Yes, I called DOS this morning and was told the same good news. Seems all of our cases (yours, mine, CooCookie's, JLock's, and Truger24's) sent late OCT08 are now waiting for the interview dates from GUZ.

How do you get an interview date when you don't have a P3 sent by GUZ, or received back by GUZ yet?

How do you get an interview date when you don't have a P3 sent by GUZ, or received back by GUZ yet?

For K cases, GUZ sends P3 to your beneficiary. For IR/CR cases, GUZ sends P4 instead. That's my understanding.

Mine just cleared on March 5 and the P3 was sent out march 13.

The package its self arrived December and was sitting all this time in delay.

 

 

seems like a normal timeline to us, check ours.

 

congrats by the way, hope you have all your P-3/4 completed.

lvlp is correct. I believe we have already received P3 from NVC before they sent out the pacakges to Guangzhou. Only K cases need P3 from GZ. IR/CR cases will need P4 after GZ receive the physical files and finish the backgroup checks.

Congrats to everyone! I remember when i got an email saying waiting on schduling interview!

As most of you dont have timelines posted, its hard to tell if you are K visas or what.

 

But as a general guide you are looking at 2.5- 3 months from "open" for k visas, 1-2 for CR-1 for interview.

We haven't had any interview date for our parents yet. Hopefully soon!

Correction! I just called DOS and they told me our parents' interview date is April 20th! Yeah!!!!!!

 

Pink slip is all we can think about now! They can finally meet my daughter first time since she was born last June.

 

Oh, when I heard DOS told me about the interview date, I just had tears in my eyes - happy tears! Both my sister and I left China over 10 years ago. Hopefully we can finally be reunited here in the States.

I will post our timeline when I get it from my sister since she is the petitioner.
