Mine; I have to pull the knob out and turn it clockwise to start it. Then push it back in again after I have it set. Don't forget the softener. The photos we chose all just happen to be without the hat as well! I am fortunate that my hair looked good even after wearing the hat, that photo was after the hat was being modeled. My hat wasn't as good either, it was just simple and round, matching colors. You might find the same one at a Shrine Circus. Link to comment
