tywy_99
Has anyone ever had any trouble adding their foreign spouse to their health insurance even without a SS number? or is there nothing to it?-ty Link to comment
Bryan_Qunying
tywy, I was able to add my wife as my spouse, but not coverable for doctor or hospital visits until she arrives in the states. I have Blue Cross/ Shield. I was able to go ahead and add her to my Accidental death benefits and to pick up the same for her, if something would happen to her. At least if something would happen to me, she would have some money to get adjusted with. Bryan Link to comment
Mick
Like many other things, different companies have different rules. Link to comment
Bob & Minglian
Spouse with you in the U.S, no problem. I, like Bryan, was not able to add my wife while she is in China. The medical, dental, vision insurance coverage I have would not cover her as a resident of China. Once here, no problem. I do have her on my life insurance policy but my health insurance provider is not going to provide payment (or coverage) to a provider in China even though we are married. Link to comment
