jbray
I used to have this problem. it was because the DHCP was trying to assign my laptop an IP that wa already in use. Once I set the IP to static, it worked fine.
LeeFisher3
Did you setup MAC filtering on the router and forget to put her NIC's MAC address in? If all else fails, try getting the English version of the network cards software and install it.
NewDay2006
If all else fails, try getting the English version of the network cards software and install it.Lee, I was thinking to do this... but, I finally got it.... the problem was the password. I knew the password, but... there was a case difference.... It seemed to be connected, but I guess I could understand if it was telling me that the password was incorrect. The language was really making me feel inferior.... I guess this will make me sympathize with my son's language disadvantage here... I was frustrated after setup wireless for so many other's, it never occurred to me that my memory might be the culprit I kept thinking to do this, but never did this. Thanks for everyone's suggestion... Houston, we have a Connection. Lao Po is happy now and I can have my laptop back.
