JingJoseph
What if your k3, self employed have only irstranscripts and your wife is the one withthe bank account in her chinese namewithout you on it? Any k3's at aos beenable to use her account as income? All my income goes into wifes account. If you were able to use it as proof didit cause problems at aos interview?I wanted my wife to have control oversomething when she got here almost twoyears ago now. She cant work legal, cantdrive, cant do anything so since she has thesmarts in out family I found a bank she couldopen an account with only a passport. Since then everything, every check has goneinto her account. Last week I had H&R blocktake a second look at 06 taxes and they founda mistake made by the IRS. Put it short theyput me on the phone with agent#001254sowhat. After a bit asked him if he knew about uscis regulations, turns out he has two jobs, theirs and uscis. He did say last years transcriptis all they want unless theres some kinda flagallready on your file. Or your person at interviewdon't feel to good that day. As to proof of income from a wife here in thestates with a bank account without your nameon it of course he would not comment. She hasno SSN yet, nothing but a marrage cert and a bank account. Anyone had this problem? Just filling aos for k3 now. Link to comment
Guest Rob & Jin
Heres a thought, wait 9 months from marriage before filing AOS, play a RFE on them with a missing doc, by the time it gets resolved it will be 2 years from marriage so you get the 10 year GC (no removal of conditions). just a thought Link to comment
phantom06
georgeandli, thanks for the info, it's good to know that there are some people that have gone the bare minimum and gotten the GC. I'd like to hear if anyone been in the same or similar position that jingjoseph is in and what their outcome is. rob&jin, thanks, something to consider. what is a rfe? Link to comment

You could then still finish in 6 months... so your stick stuck with that sucky 2 yr GC... Let's re-run the numbers through our CFL brain trust and come up with a new recommendation to skirt the USCIS Link to comment
Richard & Li
The options (as I interpreted them) on the I-864 were: Either the most recent year's tax documents or three years of tax documents (optional). I gave them my tax documents from 2007. I also gave them a statement from my employer and a copy of my contract for 2008-2009. I read somewhere that for a K2, I should include a copy of the I-134 for the child. So, I did that. Will it bite me? Don't know yet, time will tell...
