Smitty
I would send this further off topic, by asking how you tire changers balance your tires, but I won't in order to preserve the thread! Link to comment

rogerluli
I'm still wondering where this stealth explosion is going to happen? Is it brewing somewhere in China or simply an image in Roger's virtual reality? I sincerely hope it never happens Jesse...But having spent my life in the US and then learning more and more about China I cannot help but feel that China does not enjoy nearly the stability of America... I think that there is a chance that devastating economic events could make the people in China decide that they had had enough of the CP running the show and the result would not be pretty... China is evolving in a different way than what we Americans comprehend. Our Western "frame of reference" just doesn't understand the Chinese culture. While I see a desire in the Chinese people to learn SOME Western ways, there are many things the Chinese are simply not interested in mimicking. I don't see an angry people here. They are incomprehensibly accepting of the way things are, and just aren't out there ready to to revolt in the way we see Westerners do. They do the jobs we consider beneath us and do it graciously for a wage that may only feed a bowl of rice. People here understand that it takes hard work to succeed and that it's not their governments responsibility to save them. Edited August 21, 2008 by ShaQuaNew (see edit history) Link to comment

So then the 50,000 protests that the Chinese Security Dept reported occuring last year were merely a figment of someone's imagination... Link to comment

What 50,000 protests Roger? You throw out numbers without providing evidence. Sure, there are unhappy people that want more. Most simply understand that it's their own responsibility to learn more, work harder, work smarter to get more. It's just the way it is. The only form of government that supports re-distribution of wealth is Socialism, and Socialism doesn't work. Link to comment
