Bobby
I was talking to Cai Yun today and she told me that her uncle (who has helped a lot of chinese citizens get to the US) told her that as of October, China will be using a new passport. Any word on that, or is any machine-readable passport ok? It might just be a rumour, though.. Its a little difficult for me to research these things as I don't read Chinese.. Link to comment
sarah36
I haven't heard about that until now. But I think as this is a big thing, there must be a big group of people in the official office worrying for us, and by then we should be told or required to do something. I guess so. Any other ideas? Mick
Chinese citizens living in the States might want to contact the Chinese Consulate to find out about ID changes, etc. Just a thought. Link to comment
TimD
They might be talking about the new Super Id. I read about this last night and Sara posted the story for us here, check out the link http://www.nytimes.com/2003/08/19/internat...sia/19CHIN.html or Sara's post for details. Link to comment
