Don
hi, i live in massachusetts...just file federal return with w-7 for jointly filing with my wife who came here on feb......and i am doing state tax now....should i do the same thing ....attach w-7 too?.....help please.... thank you... andy I filed in two states and they did not need the SSN. If the form does not ask for SSN than do not worry. I just sent them directly to the state and did not worry about itin. They gave me my money, so i guess it worked. I did not file for Mass. xiaofeizhu
I don't know about your state, but in Hawaii, I was told to write "Applied for ITIN" or something close to that, they said, anything that makes them understand that you're doing it. That was all. Link to comment
