griz326
I was surprised to find an expiration date of May 10th on my NOA-2. Am I correct to presume that the interview WILL be conducted before the expiration date? ...and that if the backlog prevents a timely interview that the NOA-2 will be automatically extended? Yes it will be extended. ours expired 12/22/2007!! The only suggestion many here have said and my "visa specialist" is to write a letter stating that I still intend to marry my feng!! Link to comment
chilton747
Consular officers routinely extend the validity of the petition. No worries Griz. Link to comment

david_dawei
It seems the consulates extend them by habit... and USCIS also does in the initial petition processing, but have been known to let it expire during their review of petitions returned under revocation proceedings... thus, they don't have to rule on the revocation and can claim that it simply expired... This is more prevalent with the CSC or so I am told. The problem is that they do not have the balls to tell the petitioner this until multiple inquiries have been made. It's almost as if they just hope that one will simply give up. Or is it that they haven't figured out a way to extract a fee for this service? Oh.......... ok..............refile, pay the new fee and wait forever for an approval or denial? Oh I forgot...........they are busy now so "don't contact us we will contact you!" Link to comment

Griz just 8 days to go!!! Just remember to include in the kitchen sink a letter stating you are still getting married with your 70-90 day window, that is if you do not do something wild on your trip?? Link to comment
