If I remember right you have to be married 2 years before she can come over to tthe states or is there more to it than this? Link to comment

Something along the lines could a K1 wait to file AOS until after being married 2 years and get a 10 year card. Would your friend be along these lines? Link to comment
Randy W Posted January 13, 2008 Report Share Posted January 13, 2008 The K-3's can wait 2 years after arriving before filing to adjust status until the visa expires. Apparently this works. A K-1 doing this would be more questionable, since they would go out of status for more than a year. Link to comment
