If the detail is accurate it would be very educational.

 

I would guess that there are many people who don't know the history.

 

I have seen pictures in an anti-Japan circulation from China that were so graphic it turned my stomach.

 

 

Read "The Rape of Nanking" by Iris Chang. Ironically, it was a high ranking Nazi who helped save many lives in the "Safety Zone."

We will probably see it in the theater and buy the DVD.

 

It's not a popular story as it has been pushed aside for many years. The story of what the Japanese did in China during the war is not even taught in most US schools. Not to take anything away from the Holocaust in Europe, but the death toll in China was about 4 times larger.

As well as the relocation camps for Japanese during WWII. So much history is sugar-coated.

This was a great movie. Mainly because as biased as it might seem, the words and stories are from real time accounts and the eye witness statements from those just caught amidst these atrocities.
