Gifts to Take to China

I ain't telling where that "Made in China" tattoo is on her butt...

 

She did say that on a future trip to China, we should bring single male Texans for her sister and female cousins...something about only giving the very best. Apparently, anything with a "Made in Texas" sticker or the Texas logo on it, is the ULTIMATE gift that can be bestowed upon a Chinese person.

I see a lot of votes for Chocolate, so even though I don't particularly care for it myself, it will be easy to take along, so I think I will get some dark chocolate.

 

I see other good ideas too, but I am going to run out of room or over the weight limit if I am not careful. I must have 20 pounds of books to take along.

 

Oh I know what will go over with the teenage kids in the family - I have some of the little red envelopes that I can drop some cash in and give it to them along with the chocolate. Then they can go buy a video game or CD or movie or whatever they really want.

 

Ahhh, don't worry about all those gifts...I'm sure they will appriciate them... but the biggest present that you can take is Toplaw - Lee, or as Ping will say Lee Lee.

 

Go and have a good time and forget about us! (Just kiddding)

My friend will be leaving in a couple of days and he promises to stay in touch with us while he is there... or else...we will hang him from the highest tree when he gets back!

Here's one that no one has mentioned: Macadamia nuts made in Hawaii. It's becoming popular in China. It's called "Hawaii nut" in China. You can bring roasted versions and chocolate versions.

best: ask to see what they would like and can not get in China or may have to pay a lot.

Each time our relatives come over, we name our gifts:

A jogger stroller with large wheels and shock absorber to push my baby while I roller (could not find one in China); A pair of strap on roller skates by Solomon (only available in EU);

Ask your SO what her family member wish for ( with reasonable costs though, and if it costs too much they can pay for it for you to bring over).
