Picking up visa

I'd be interested to hear from you folks who've gotten your visas in the last few months. How often has the two day guideline been reliable?

Dave, LiWen had her interview on a Tues. K1 passed and got the packet. For some reason she picked it up Tues following week. I personally do not believe any time lines. No sarcasm, each case is separate. Calls were answered, not yet maybe tomorrow.

Two days is not a hard rule, many have reported waiting up to a week for the Visa.

just curious...if the visa can be sent by mail (possible certified mail) to the beneficiary or it has to be picked up by person?...anyone know?

If the beneficiary's address is within Guangdong, it can be mailed (or picked up)... otherwise, the visa is expected to be picked up.

Hi Dave,

 

Based on a quick look at the VJ timelines I would say the 2 day timeframe is about 75% likely. PengPeng got her pink on Thursday and we picked up on Saturday. If it hadn't been there Saturday we would have had to wait until Tuesday.

thanks for posting that Houston. I have an interview on the 27th and I sure hope that visa is ready on the 29th, or I have a long week to wait on the post office to open from National Holiday.

Thanks to all the responses. It sounds like we'll just have to hope for two days but plan on ? days.
