bosco
Hmmmmm.....I sent the package next day air, certified, return receipt requested 10 days ago and haven't seen the receipt yet.......wonder how long this is going to take.......Yep same boat, I do know that ours delivered in Chicago on the 8th, from the tracking number on USPS website, but still waiting for the checks to clear my bank, I hope a case number is on the back of the checks so that I can then monitor the progress on USCIS site. More hmmmmm..... I hadn't thought to check tracking. I sent it on the morning of the 4th. I sent it next day air. Tracking says it was delivered on the 9th?????? Ok, the 4th was a Friday. I get that but Monday was the 7th. What's up with taking until the 9th for next day? Lovely. So I guess it will probably take at least 3 weeks for a surface return of the receipt...... Randy W
If a signature was required, this can require a couple of extra days, since the recipient (at a P.O. box) is notified that they must sign. Link to comment

Yes. It was sent to a P.O. Box. All of their mail goes to a box. Someone goes to pick it up every day first thing in the morning and signs the receipts on the ones that require it then takes all the mail back to the office. At least that's how the rest of the country does it. Supposedly. It says it was signed for at 2:12am. So the .gov has a graveyard shift huh? But it only works on Wednesdays apparently. Oh well, not like I don't have lots of experience waiting for the .gov..... Link to comment
dnoblett
Signature card was in our mail today, so at least we know that someone signed for the package, May something, that part of the card is torn off. Still waiting for the checks to clear though. Link to comment

Delivery confirmation works just fine for this part of the country. Link to comment

I will check later, or just wait for the letter in the mail. Link to comment

dnoblett
I was able to just make out the MSC number on the back of the check, and check status on USCIS, looks like they mailed the biographic instructions, so it looks like NOA1 is in the mail. Link to comment

dnoblett
We Mailed AOS today (05/05), and plan on electronic file of EAD when we get receipt letter for the AOS.Rochester is one of the fastest in the country (next to Buffalo).. I'm not sure you need to apply EAD since the GC could be very fast. Just a thought.I did some looking at VJ's timelines for AOS Buffalo and looks much like 2 months start to finish on average. http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/aoslis...p8=Buffalo%20NY Though Portland OR looks to be not much slower, about 3 months. http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/aoslis...8=Portland%20OR Edited May 18, 2007 by dnoblett (see edit history) Link to comment
