This afternoon we received an I-485 status notification by e-mail that "card production has been ordered". Looks like Lao Po's Green Card has been approved without interview. The package was filed on July 20th.

 

Now we shall see if it arrives with the maiden name or the married name. The cover letter back in July requested married name but the I-485 was filled out with maiden name as that seemed to be what is required. (I now know that others have filed the 485 using the married name without a problem.)

 

When the package was transferred to the CSC I wrote a letter asking that the GC be issued in the married name. The response we got was "we can't respond to letters like this".

 

I called USCIS today and asked if they could check what name ... of course they couldn't.

 

Here's hoping ... :rolleyes:
