whoever
I got my NOA2 on March 13th. And I got my case number from NVC yesterday. How long will it take, normally for my fiance to get pkt#3? I have been posting on a Phillipino k-1 Visa forum. They say they could schedule an interview with the Consulate before they even get their petition sent to US Consulate in Phillipines. I wonder, if we could do the same for GZ? Finally, how long would I need to wait for my fiance to get to U.S. from today? Thanks! Link to comment
yuhao999
1) Welcom! 2)How long will it take, normally for my fiance to get pkt#3? In my case, it took about 5 weeks. The time may be different from different cases. Generally speaking, it take about 4-8 weeks. 3)They say they could schedule an interview with the Consulate before they even get their petition sent to US Consulate in Phillipines. I don't think that can be applied to Chinese. 4)how long would I need to wait for my fiance to get to U.S. from today? It depends on so many things. Even your fiance/fiancee's name matters. Usually, it takes about 4-6 months from p3 to p4 and 3 weeks from p4 to the interview. 5) Good luck and be patient. Link to comment

danswayne
After we finally got P3 and returned it in December we only had to wait 3 1/2 months for the interview. We are returning to GZ this weekend for her interview which will be April 14. So our timeline from P3 to interview is 4 months, and we still haven't received P4 yet. I would make sure to call the right places at least once a week to find out the status of the case, because it would be horrible to miss the interview after such a long wait. We had to wait outside the cosulate to receive the appointment letter so my wife could have her doctors checkup, we might receive PF sometime this year, maybe after we return to America. Who knows??
