If you're engaged and have the K1 it's perfectly acceptable to have the big wedding party. The family will treat you as married even though the actual wedding will be in the US. November must be the month because I too married my love in China on the 13th a few years ago. The little red marriage book and case are nice! I cherish mine as I cherish my qi zi.
