Name Check Cleared

I called DOS today and the clerk told me that I should hear something from the GZ Consulate within a week. I couldn't believe what I heard, so I asked the clerk if that meant my fiancee's name check has cleared, and the clerk confirmed it has. I was so excited I forgot to ask the specific date it cleared.

 

So I'm assuming that GZ should be sending P4 within a week. The clerk stated that if I don't hear anything from GZ, I should contact them. I will contact GZ next week to confirm this news.

 

I'm still being cautious over this "good" news. If GZ confirms this, then I will be ecstatic.

Congratulations! Don't be too surprised if it takes GZ considerably longer than DOS indicated. Right now, though, this is the big hurdle that you had to get over. The end is drawing near!

Dave.. I still remember you said something very similar to that when I announced the same news on our case .

You are right.. caution is "de rigueur" with CA..

Name check clearance confirmed by GZ. They haven't told me yet when P4 will be sent out, but the clerk "guesstimated" within the middle of this month.
