RivaRich
Hello, We are in the process of filling out our GIV-24. The form states in Chinese that all answers should be given in English and Chinese. Should the American Addresses for Question # 7 be translated to Chinese? I'd like to know how others have filled out this form. Thanks very much for your input, Richard Link to comment
Guest pushbrk
Hello, We are in the process of filling out our GIV-24. Thanks very much for your input, Richard231350[/snapback]This example is the best information I've found on the very difficult GIV 24.http://www.laogonglaopo.com/001files/form/...IV-24_Guide.pdf The example shows USA addresses in English only. It shows many names in English and Chinese but the names are Chinese. My wife is not making up Chinese names for me or my American relatives or translating their addresses to Chinese. Perhaps she will do so with Occupations. Link to comment
warpedbored
This question is about the American petitioners immediate family. You would only need to provide Chinese if for example you were a naturalized citizen originally from China with immediate family still living there. Link to comment
jim_julian
Direct experience: We did not translate the American addresses. It did not cause a problem. Link to comment
GaryandSherry
I just helped my SO complete this form. Every line we provided was in English. I am sure they aren't going to complain if it isn't in Chinese. I used Pushbrk's example. Link to comment
yuliki
The version of my story was: I filled it out in English except it requires the Chinese names. It wasn't any problem. Link to comment
