mercator
I've been playing thing VERY close to my vest for a long time now. Her ex-boyfriend was a concern for TPC. But today my wife got her visa. She was given P4 on 5/22 and her interview was a very fast 6/7. That call from the GUZ was actually the UPS people, it turned out! Our total time on the K3 was 228 days. She is ESTATIC, talking at 10000 miles an hour. Very relieved too. She got up at 4am, took at taxi at 5:30, 6:00 was in the queue at the consulate, and already 30 people were outside. She was inside by 7:30, got a low number, an her interview was about 9:30. She was out of there by 1000. A youngish girl looked at her doctor files and her P4 documents at window 29. Then got a number then go to window 18. A man then fingerprinted her. Her blue bag opened up on her on the floor! cds fell out a little but she fixed it quickly. She said the interview was about 5 minutes long. Do you speak English? A little (she interprets for friends, so I think she was nervous). The rest of the interview was in Mandarin. In English. What color are your husbands eyes? What did you ask me? He said OK and switched to chinese. How do you talk to your husband? A mix of chinese and english How did you meet - asiaeuro Showed photos - he did not look at the studio photos but the photos of our wedding meal with her family in Yingde. He looked at her two wedding rings closely, she noticed. He then asked how often I went to china, and looked at my notarized passport copy. He did not open the x-ray stuff. Stamped her passport and said she got her visa and red paper! DID NOT look at my 134DID NOT look at tax documents She carried 3 packages. One big blue suitcase with all the documents in it, one with the hundreds of emails in it, and one with the xray in it. She said she was way more stocked up than any more people. 30 pounds versus a few pounds by other people Historically, I called DOS 5 times, emailed NVC 5 times, went to 1 ACH, and wrote all four of my congress people, but it was regarding the immigration issues at hand, not my case specifically. I will post photos and come out from behind the curtain a little here in the coming week or so. I am gone the next two weeks on business, but my wife isn't coming until 6/30 anyway. She met a K1 woman from Seattle, so they are coming to the US together. Kuaile kuaile! Link to comment

I look forward to a little Eastern WA get together soon. Happy for you Kenn. By the way, was May 22 the receive date or mail date for the P4? mercator
I'm in alberta for work this week, so I am talking off the top of my head, but I think she received the P4 on 5/22, because I didn't get any info from DOS on 5/21 when I called after the call she got. Needless to say we were HUSTLING to get everything together quick enough. I spent $90 to express UPS all the supporting documentation in time. She was running all around GZ trying to get all her stuff together as well. 16 days P4->IV Like a rocket! I think it was like 35 days P3->p4, but our stat keeper would know that better than I Link to comment

The other times it is always me stepping off the plane and her greeting me... This time it will be reversed! I will post up my actual and complete timeline (I generalized on a few things, since the ex lurks here) when I get home this weekend.
