Dynasty
We received a RFE for I-693 Vaccination Supplement after her AOS was transfered to CSC. She is pregnant and due in early March but we must respond with the Vaccination Supplement by February 20. We discussed these vaccinations with her doctor a couple of weeks ago and she advised the TD is probably okay but the MMR and Varicella shoult NOT be given to her in her condition (I confirmed this to be true on the CDC website). So, what to do? Would a Civil Surgeon still sign off? As complete? Waived? Any advice would be appreciated.Pat Link to comment
Trigg
As I understand it the vaccinations given are at the civil surgeons discretion. if he/she/it decides theat certa vaccs are not warranted then thats the way it is! Link to comment
tywy_99
You will have to get the civil surgeon and her obstetrician coordinated in this matter. Maybe take a letter from her obstetrician to the civil surgeon. Certainly something could be worked out. -good luck Link to comment
Tine & Ella
Pat, Ella was pregnant at her AOS interview. She had OB Dr. write a letter to Civil Surgeon and it was waived. At the interview no questions were asked for I-693. Tine Link to comment
cosmiclobster
Yes, get the OBS to write a statement that she is in fact pregnant. This will exempt her from ALL of the live vaccines (and possibly the rest of them)! The civil surgeon should fill out the I-693 saying the vaccines are not indicated or appropriate. If not, go to another civil surgeon! Good luck and CONGRATS on the little one on the way!!!!! Edited December 3, 2005 by cosmiclobster (see edit history) Link to comment
