JamesBDennis
Hi Guy's and gal's. Do I need a title search for the I-134 to prove I own my home or will they take my word for it?????? Jim Link to comment
Randy W
No you don't and yes they will. Just list it as an asset, and include receipts for the monthly payments. Link to comment
warpedbored
As long as you can show you make 125% of the federal poverty guidelines on your tax transcripts you need not list any other assets. Forget the house unless you don't make at least 16 K a year. Link to comment
notrevorich
Carl is right certainly do not spend any money on a title search .If you are not making the minium income then list it as an asset -and give them a property tax statement and a copy of your mortgage statement which shows how much is still owed . david_dawei
Anyone else notice, that the instructions for the I-864 are more explicit than the I-134... actually spells it out as Carl states... If you meet the guideline, don't need assets and you cannot have a joint sponsor (unless they request it) Link to comment
JamesBDennis
Thank's guy's. That is the point. I OWN it. I do not have a morgage or monthly bill's. I do have a tax bill. I will show that to them. I should be in very good shape but am doing the kitchen sink deal. It is just that I am worring about every thing at this stage. I am not the normal 9-5 job, house in the suburb's kind of guy. Also I did not expect the interview for another two month's.Jim Link to comment

Good luck Link to comment
cosmiclobster
Many people are not even being asked for the I-134, as was my case. You should have a deed to your property (every state is different) that your SO could show a copy of to the VO, IF ASKED FOR. It looks like the wise approach is to have everything ready if need be but don't give them more than is required or asked for. Good luck! Link to comment

You either qualify and submit tax transcripts or you don't and show assets or a co-sponsor. If you make 125% of the poverty guidelines don't bother with anything else. Don't let it happen again or it just might be possible losing one gold thinggie! J/K......... Link to comment
