david_dawei
david, am i mistaken or did you read the instructions to put the telegraphic code for the name on the 156146486[/snapback]I did not look at the form in detail ... But I have looked it over, including the new one, online with e-form fillin... I don't see a reference to telegraphic code. Can you reference the 'edition', language version and the exact fill in cell you are referring to ? Link to comment
HanLi
It's also on the GIV Packet 3 Supplement: item 4. Name of each applicant in Chinese Standard Telegraphic Code or Si Jiao Hao Ma (if you can provide) in addition to the DS-230 Part 2 Link to comment

Trying to solve the issue of the DS-157, unless there is some mix up in what document needs it. I don't see it in DS-230 , part II.. what fill in cell ? Link to comment

I was questioning your reference to it being on the DS-230 Part II ? I guess your just saying it's on the sheet that came with your DS-230.. I think we can leave that issue , since it is P3 and the FAQ has info on it. Trying to solve any need for the telegraphic code on a P4 document... Link to comment

david_dawei
Having reviewed a few P4 docs (DS-156, DS-156k, GNI-2, GIV-24)... I only find telegraphic code asked for on the GIV-24 , Family Composition Sheet , Q1. Assuming you made a copy of your P3 docs , you should already have these codes... FYI: Not all post offices will have the info...http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?...ndpost&p=125459 Link to comment
frank1538
I have the *.pdf version of the codes. If someone wants it, send me an email or, better still, if someone would tell me how to upload it to CFL from my computer, then everybody will have access to it. Link to comment

dailyview
i will have to review the doc. could've misread it. i beleive it was asked for on the letter, not the form. but i am going to double check it. B) Link to comment
skibum
We had to get it but I cannot remember what form it is needed. We got it from the PO and the girl did not even have to look it up! Have her get it any way, if you don't need it, nothing lost. Link to comment
david_dawei
The DS-156 "chinese version" does ask for the telegraphic code in block 6 (surname) and 7 (first and middle) ... you will see it as ÖÐÎĵçÂë. Set browser encoding if you cannot view the chinese characters. Edited August 18, 2005 by DavidZixuan (see edit history) Link to comment
