Name check

Can someone explain the name check process? When do they do it, before P3 is received or after P3 is sent back? How about second name check? Thanks,

after p2 NVC does a namecheck,sends package to GUZ, now GUZ does a namecheck and usually within a weeks time,if required there will be a second namecheck which can be short or very long, no p4 until ALL namechecks are complete.

my fiance had 3 namechecks in march but all were within 4 days,guz did a pre-interview clearence but didnt require a 2nd namecheck MOST people dont have to go through a 2nd namecheck!!, my girls name is not a common name so very quick.

DOS has this information available. If they tell you it has finished processing and awaiting an interview date you can be pretty sure the name check is done, but it is safest to ask specifically.
